It has been sooooo long since I've blogged. Sorry! I thought I'd update everyone on my recent happenings.
This is my last semester in school and I also got a job teaching voice and piano recently. I start on Tuesday and I am so nervous, but excited. I do believe that's called anxious. :) Life has just gotten better and better since I went through the temple and I am so glad that all of my family was able to be there to share it with me. I miss you all so much and I wish I were closer! I will just have to see where I feel I should be when I'm done with school and I'll go from there.
Dating...well in the dating world, nothing is lasting right now. I've been dating and breaking up recently. Seems to be a trend, but the guys I've been meeting/dating have been getting better and better too. Things are looking up, so I hope it continues to get better. I'll let you know. :)
I can't even tell you the change I've seen in myself since I've been going to the temple. I've made a goal to go at least once a week and I've been really good about it so far. I've only been home about a month and a bit and I've been great at it. It helps that I've got some fantastic friends that love going with me, so it keeps me motivated. Although, the peace I feel when I'm there and when I leave is motivation enough.
My whole perspective has flipped upside-down and sideways, but it has become so easy to resist temptation and let the trivial things go. Things don't bother me as much and I find I'm able to get more done. I've also been able to create more meaningful relationships with people and have realized who my closer friends are too. I grow to love my friends and especially my family more and more and it makes it so hard to be so far away!
I have been able to see so many blessings in my life since I've gone through the temple. Life is just better and more meaningful. My priorities are in the right place and I want to be the person Heavenly Father meant me to be and know I can get there. I'm more confident and secure in myself and my talents and even weaknesses. How strange, but cool!
Goodness, I didn't plan on bearing my testimony, but I guess it just kinda came out in the things I've said. How funny. Well, I am more than happy to share it and myself with you all. I love me and I love life. Even the hard times are worth it.
Beautiful thoughts, sweetheart! I encourage you to go often now while you're not married and don't have kids, lol. It gets really hard after that! But thanks to you Adam and I can go sometimes. *HUGS*
