I've had some pretty cool conversations with friends lately. One friend was kind enough to point that I was griping today...and I thought.."He's right! What am I doing?" So here's my retribution for griping:
I have so much to be grateful for and my life is finally starting to fall into place after uprooting myself to North Carolina. I have a great job, I just got my first piano student, and I have a date tomorrow. What more do I need right now? I sure can't think of anything, so please don't point any out. I don't need something new to gripe about. Haha...
I am enjoying getting to know people in my ward better and I love my dear friends all over Utah and North Carolina. I wish I could put them all in one place so I could see them all more. Then reality comes in and points out that that wish is physically impossible. Even David Copperfield couldn't pull that one off (although, Matt would disagree).
I've been entertaining myself by reading Hyperbole and a Half lately. (Disclaimer: The writer does feel the need to use a few choice words here and there.) The writer is a genius with simple, relate-able humor. Please feel free to entertain yourselves as well. Just know that I don't condone the use of profanity, but do adore laughing my head off for no apparent reason. It's a toss-up sometimes... Also, the drawings are FANTASTICALLY AWESOME...just thought you'd want to know. :)
I hope you enjoy the day as I have. Life is good and I don't think many of us have a justifiable reason to think we are not loved or blessed in some way...most of the time blessed in more ways than we can count.
Observe the beauty around you. It may be people, families, trees (a personal favorite), the mist that gathers on the road in the morning and night (another favorite), the gentleness of the breeze, a smile from a perfect stranger, and the chance to laugh for no particular reason......just to name a few (insert awkward smile here). :D
Remember...be grateful and make sure to give credit where it's due. Aka: Heavenly Father and the people in our lives that need to hear it.
Much love <3
It's good to just take a break and think about all the ways we're blessed. I do that when I feel complain-y, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Amy. You are absolutely right, Honey Bunny. So thank YOU for being a blessing in my life. You really are.
